One of our artists, Becca, started her journey with Champaint777 by painting her heart out before she became part of the team. Her mom, Leonora, has been battling stage 4 metastatic cancer for about 5 years. This put a heavy emotional toll on beca through her teenage years, but she was able to spill out everything bottled up onto the canvas. Becca has never felt happier at any other job and loves being able to share her experience with our clients.
The therapeutic potential of art: We had a parent of an autistic child come to
us and say that she had tried everything to help reach and interact with her daughter. She had thought of trying art, so we tried. The results were amazing. Within 12 weeks her daughter was able to reduce her needed medication for behavior management. That little girl is our future and she loves to make art.
Mom arrived feeling rough and gruff with a frown. But she hung around, started painting and turned that frown upside down. Daughter received the best birthday gift of all, a loving hug from mom.
Champaint777 gives charity events to the homeless and the refugees, serves the homeless community by feeding them and making them smile.
